➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Suppose it all tastes like rabbit, which is delicious.
The only jackrabbit that I ever ate was one that had been run for over a mile before being shot, dressed and immediately cooked on a stick over an open fire. It was truly rubber meat and not a good culinary experience. The dogs really liked it though.

That sounds awesome!! I didn’t realize geneticists were inside, or maybe I did know that and just forgot lol duh!, silly me, that does sound pretty boring haha equine veterinarian sounds fun though!! I love horses. Wish I could have one :hit

And ahh I see. Did you know the girls were mixes? I wish I could have a rooster and hatch some of my own eggs but I can’t atm
I love my boys. They are expensive as all get out, but there is nothing like burying your face in the mane of a horse.

Yes, we hatched them. Just some test run babies, and added them as layers once they got old enough.

ETA: Roosters are overrated. I wanted to drop kick Negan today.

Yeah, the expense is the main reason why I don’t have them lol I would love one or two eventually though. Or at least to start riding again.

And ahh okay. That makes sense. And good idea since you desperately need layers lol

And LOL OMG. He’s that bad, huh? I mostly just want one cause I’d like to hatch eggs from one of my Easter Eggers who is an amazing layer and some of my other girls but they’re all 3 1/2 anyway so I doubt they’d hatch anyway and plus my parents are weird about/don’t like the idea of eating fertilized eggs and don’t like the noise either. And I don’t think our neighbors or even me would either lol we have close neighbors in the back they are near and they’re also somewhat near some bedrooms lol

@KDOGG331 you made some good garden progress today!

I have some of the raised beds ready for seeds....so planted 3 varieties of carrots, two types spinach, purple top turnips, Detroit beets, cherry and French breakfast radish, Pak choi cabbage and dill. Then put out plants: 12 broccoli, 6 cauliflower, 10 kale, 10 collards, 12 flat Dutch cabbage, 8 Rainbow Swiss chard and 10 Romaine lettuce.

The onions, garlic are doing great and the peas are swelling.
Have potatoes ready to go in the ground and seeds in pots for tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and squash.
You're a gardening inspiration! I wish I was on it like this. I gotta get my beets, carrots, lettuce, and cauliflower going. Haven't even prepped my beds yet. How embarrassing.
I did get my peppers, tomatillos, ground cherries, and basil started under the light a couple weeks ago, though. Still feels like I am waaaay behind.

Same boat here. I haven’t disked my field up yet or even bought seeds. We still have a few more frost days that I can procrastinate on!

I wish I didn't kill every plant i've ever put in the ground... what I would give to have a backyard garden!!
