Every season, builders have a chance to showcase new homes for a week to the public. There are several categories and awards in each category for these homes and they're judged before the public tours them. It's pretty cool. Some of these homes are amazing!

We have something like this here in Houston too.
It's very neat to tour the houses.

They're massive. I've designed some with indoor basketball courts, indoor shooting ranges, 30ft climbing walls... the WORKS. I love the finishes, fixtures and the details... not the large spaces so much though.

Hobby Lobby is dangerous!! So is zgallerie. I could get into some serious trouble there.

The more I see, the more I am convinced that TV access, particularly when it isn't extremely restricted, rots people's brains. I'm glad I made the decision to not have a TV in our home.

If I had money BEFORE I went in to Hobby Lobby, I'd be broke by the time I came out. I LOVE metal art type stuff. They sell a lot of it. And pictures/paintings. I don't get out to one very often because they are a decent drive (for me) away. So my bank account is safe for the most part.

I hear ya, sister. It's not like I hate TV shows. I mean, I subscribe to Netflix. But the constant access, transient nature of streaming TV is just something I can't see any benefit to.

We put Priscilla back out with the others today. She has a very minor limp still from whatever tenderness is there but for the most part she healed up nicely. The first thing she did when we took her back out there was go up in the coop to the nest box and lay an egg. Then she's just been foraging all day with the others. We'll keep an eye on her overt he next couple of days to make sure everything continues to go well.

On a totally dif subject, my sweet bell peppers, lavender, thyme and rosemary is ruined. I started the seeds and they were germinating and hanging out in this little greenhouse type thing and we had some storms come thru last night and the wind has been awful today. It was anchored down but not good enough I guess. The wind sent it toppling on its side and everything got upended. So I guess I get to buy more and try again.

They probably don't decorate or they watch the clearance section like a hawk for scratch and dents.
Or they buy one thing at a time and always have a 50% off coupon.

I really really wanted to go today.
