➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I mentioned it in this one haha

Yeah I know you won’t but I wanna move them out anyway lol I’m just paranoid and nervous to because they’re so small.

But originally I only wanted them in “for a day or two” to keep an eye on them after shipping.... but now I am attached lol don’t want anything to happen to the little fluff balls!!

But you have a good point about that! Although I won’t really be getting much done anyway lol been unseasonably COLD lately, like 40s, sometimes 50s but barely, and 40s and 30s even at night, and cloudy and rainy. Last week we had like a couple sunny days. But it’s been really cold and gross this week. That’s also part of why I am worried. Today is just RAW. like mid to low 40s, cloudy, and off and on rain/mist, hasn’t really all put rained yet but it’s pretty cloudy and it’s damp and foggy. That’s part of why I don’t want to put them out today. They are used to 60s and 70s in the house in addition to the warm MHP so I don’t really want to just throw them out when it’s in the 40s. But starting tomorrow it is supposed to be mid to high 50s which I think is much more manageable for them. And next week even has some days in the mid 60s. BUT. It is also supposed to rain Saturday and Sunday so idk if I should wait to put them out? Since I won’t want to be out in the rain a bunch to check on them and I wouldn’t want them to get damp and chilled or get coccidiosis or something. Notice I spelled it out that time? :D almost didn’t. Saturday I think it’s supposed to be more just showers and clear up by late afternoon but Sunday is supposed to be like hard rain all day.

Yes I did, quoted the post at the top, it was a page back, but that post also had a ton of other stuff in it so you probably just missed that one little line where I mentioned considering the novels in the rest of the post! LOL

But she is a Speckled Sussex!!

:lau yeah that’s annoying. My friend constantly abbreviates everything even really short words lol
Keep them in until next week.

Speckled Sussex. They're the sweetest things but mine have all absolutely stunk as layers. Pretty yard ornaments and oh so fluffy.

Hopefully mine doesn’t stink as a layer. :( but if she does, I suppose that’s okay. I just wanted to add some super pretty and friendly birds LOL well, I did want more eggs too as my older birds are slowing down, but it’s fine if one of them isn’t a great layer lol they go broody a lot right? Maybe she can hatch me some chicks next year and earn her keep that way!

Ugh...I'm not really a fan of those.
Good for KDog...she can keep here.

Oh IIIIIIII see, judging her by her breed alone are we? :p

JK, JK. Not every breed is for everybody lol but you sure cut her as your favorite pretty fast :p

Keep them in until next week.
X2. @KDOGG331 should keep them in a bit longer, wet weather is worse for the cocci, that is - better for the cocci and worse for the chicks. Besides, there's nothing sweeter than their soft little peeps as they put themselves to bed. You want to enjoy that while you can.:)
