➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Well!!! As for the drive thru nickname... during my summer break that was my Friday night routine. Going to the drive they, getting a mixed drink and shutting this thread down, lol. It's a pretty short story. But there it is!

Edited: my winter break from school. Not my summer break.

Aww well that’s a pretty cool nickname haha

This morning's catch was one Sweetgrass poult, one Tri-Color Mottled Black poult and two Tri-Color Mottled Slate poults. Of course ther was also a mad hen to deal with. She still has two unhatched eggs but it is unknown whether or not they are viable.

They are so adorable!! How many poults are you up to now?

Oh wow that’s a lot of poults!! And the mom is raising them all?
No, they are in the brooder. There are just too many things that can go wrong during the first two weeks of a poult's life to have them in the general population. On top of that it is much easier (and safer) to show and sell the poults from a brooder than it is when they are hiding under a hen.

Ohhh okay. That makes sense. I thought you mentioned her hatching them? Do you let her incubate/hatch then pull them?
