Yes, I finally have time to hang out for a little while and very few people seem to be on tonight.
Well we had our 20th anniversary on the 14th. That was exciting for us.

DD started back to school as a junior this year, we need to start looking at colleges, especially ones that would like to give her a scholarship.
She has also been driving the truck she really is doing very well at that and is chomping at the bit to drive my standard transmission car!!

The pullets from Turk are doing great and I got a small raise at work (trying to stick to the positive things)
We have the baby this weekend, DH went to pick her up. She is 1 now and has 5 very sharp teeth, we plan to play "let's brush our teeth this weekend" Everyone in the house is going to brush their teeth while she watches, then we will let her brush her teeth, she has her own baby training tooth brush.

ETA: Big business is making big money, making fools out of grandparents

No funny stories for me, sorry, but I am so glad to see you here again when I'm on as well. I've been so slow at work and actually about to pick up another PRn job at another trach care facility (also small) to fill up my free time. Loving LOVING LOVING my new job and PRN schedule. Makin $$ and having time for kids, a social life and hobbies is the best!! How are the Marans & "da hubby"? Please tell me you remember when I thought DH meant "da husband"!?!?! And btw who is Turk?

@Tesumph I love the little hognose snakes! If I were to own a snake that'd be it without a doubt. Adorable isn't even the word. Btw do you remember when I thought "DH" meant "da husband"? That was so hilarious! AND I STILL READ IT THAT WAY! Always will. No shame!

Turk is a member who lives 1 & 1/2 hours from my house, we bought 4 blue laced red wyandottes from her a few months ago. I think some may be splashes, which is fine with me, they all appear to be pullets!!
Same here with the job, i make my own hours and can occasionally work from home and it's extra money in the house, which will come in handy when DD goes to college.
DH is the same sweet guy he has always been, still brings me coffee in bed every morning after 20 years of marriage.

Do you still keep Marans too? How'd you fare with the recent flooding in NOLA?

yes, most of the flock is Marans and did fine with the flooding, no birds in the laundry room. They ate worms until I thought they would be sick!!!!

Btw I lost my Marans late this past winter. Not sure what happened but I found her dead in the coop one day. No more pretty Choco eggs for me.
