➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Ran the weed wacker in the garden yesterday. The 3 inches of rain last week gave a boost to the garden and the grass in the paths. An explosion of weeds along the fence and around the raised beds. Was going to mow the garden and side yards, but found two flat tires. One has a hole by the tube stem.
Going to fix flats today and hubby is taking me to breakfast.

Love the spot on her head!

Yes. Haven't done it since school though. Those tests are called pulmonary functions tests. Let me guess, you did those tests then had to do a bronchodilator and repeat them?
Ugh, I remember those tests and how they showed that my function was entirely normal and not improved by the inhaler. But they just gave me a take home version and that was the end of it.

For more than a decade, I believed that I had allergen-induced asthma. But, I never actually had asthma and that's why the rescue inhaler DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. I had allergies, yes, and vocal cord dysfunction that would get triggered.

It took a friend in a class for her speech therapy career path asking a question and her professor being intrigued to get me that diagnosis. I'm annoyed that it was missed and that teenage me was so easily dismissed as making stuff up but at least I am no longer fearful that I'm going to die from an attack.

My garden was in poor shape due to a freeze on June 9th and 10th will cool soil temperatures into July. I was finally seeing progress and starting to get a few ripe tomatoes when it was again vandalized by Mother Nature with a vicious hail storm the evening of August 15th. I guess that I just wasn't meant to have a garden this year.

I have broken storm windows, a broken basement window, broken roofing panels on the greenhouse and guinea coop.

It is a rare year when I get to harvest the prune plums. It looked like I might get enough this year to make some peach and plum jam. The plums were getting their first tinges of purple. Now they are lying on the ground.

You are just now realizing this?

Jealous of the breakfast bit! Haha

If there is a particular pose that you want, let me know and I will see what I have.

That is very nice of you

Wow that is awful!! So sorry!! Glad you finally got diagnosed!

Wait, are we still talking about the bear skin rug? I thought that was her line?

:lau

No, that was in reference to @Tesumph wanting to work on drawing deer.

Nice of you to help her out so much
