"The Joy of Cooking" cookbook 1937?

Nope, one handed down from my maternal grandmother to my mother.

I do have a copy of the cookbook that my paternal grandmother used. It is The Household Searchlight Recipe Book 1935. Its Pepper Relish recipe is similar to my Green Tomato Relish recipe.

I didn’t do that cause I didn’t see this till after I was already over there and also I was way too focused on getting ready this morning anyway/that took forever but I will get it done tonight.

Anyway, the first store we hit we found some serious contenders almost immediately haha

Ended up with 3 dresses.

One we both agreed was like amazing and looked so good/was so flattering so then after that none of the others looked quite as stunning.

But they were cute so I got them anyway. Figured I can wear them for the rehearsal dinner/welcome reception or even just out sometime. Need to up my style/wardrobe anyway lol

But we knew immediately that the one was the DEFINITE choice for the wedding haha

But these are the 3 I ended up with haha



The purple one isn’t quite fully zipped there I don’t think, I just threw it back on to take some pictures cause I forgot haha so here’s some better ones FSIL took. Blocked her face out obviously.

Okay so we found the dress almost immediately, at Macy’s of all places LOL, and then lunch at Chipotle and then she also had to pick up a bookcase so we did that and then also to some furniture consignment places to look for a hutch thing for the kitchen and then we went back and I helped her get the bookcase in and hung with her and the dogs at the house for a bit and it was fun but I am exhausted lol got back around 4 and was gonna take a nap but haven’t yet and now I’ve got to be somewhere so no time but oh well lol anyway, it was fun ahah

Now I just need to work on that HORRENDOUS farmer’s tan and lose a little bit of weight.

Thank you!! That is the winner! We loved it too and after that one we decided a long one was much better and more flattering than the shorter ones so we went with it haha
