➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

My supposed Olive egger. I don't know if you remember the black oe my broody hatched last year. Anyway, that's her egg. I was and still am very disappointed in that entire situation. She's supposedly an f2 oe and she hatched from a green egg. :idunno Also, I forgot about IT 2! That'll be perfect.
Happy birthday to me!
I find that egg to be a lovely shade. Is she not a good hen in addition to not laying olive eggs?

I thought it was pretty tame. The monsters are a little goofy, but the actual deaths are creepy.

Um, yea, for once I appreciated the artistic liberties they took with the film adaptation.
:caf
My 20th birthday was on a Friday. I didn’t do anything because I’m a shut-in. Now I’m cursed to wait a decade to make it up.

Hmm... it might be okay then haha

But not gonna watch the trailer or anything tonight. :lau

She's not a particularly good layer and she doesn't do well in the heat here. But I was still big on my colorful egg kick and had tried multiple times to hatch oe chicks. After she hatched, I first though my she was a cockerel. So I got really excited when she turned out a pullet, then the dud goes and lays me a light brown egg. It is pretty though. Sometimes lightly speckled and sometimes has a pretty pink hue.

Ah, I see.
It looks like a nice pretty mauve color in the pic.
Most birds added this year to my flock are white egg layers, which I think will be kind of cool for a change.

The white laying breeds are some of the prettiest birds to me. My light brahma laid very pretty pinkish mauve eggs regularly.
I agree. The Cream Brabanters and Hamburgs are gorgeous birds. I can't wait til they start laying.
I have a light Brahma now. She lays tiny, round very pretty eggs. Her predecessor laid the same small, roundish eggs. The big fatty happens to lay eggs that are barely larger than my Bantam Cochin eggs. Go figure.

Yeah, i decided mine put away more food than she put out. Pretty birds but not my fave for that reason.

I'm going to bed now guys! It's been fun but I've got my prn job bright and early in the morn.

My Rose Comb Legbar pullets have looked ready to start laying for several months now but have not laid any eggs in any of the nest boxes.

On occasion some of the hens will lay an egg in the middle of this huge Yucca. I checked it three days ago and it was empty. Glanced at it today and voila!
