He is soooo cute!!!

And he is very clearly the favorite

Theoretically any mammal can get heartworms, including humans.
The smaller the heart, the bigger the danger. Ferrets (even indoor ferrets) need to be on heartworm preventive because just one or two worms could kill them.

Humans can get them!? great. One more thing to have anxiety over.

And that makes sense! Never knew ferrets need to be on preventative. So fascinating! Thanks!

Now I’m feeling like kind of a shitty pet owner for not thinking of this sooner.

But tbh I’m not sure if my parents would have done it even if I had.

It tastes better than it looks! I think this is my best one yet.
