You can buy heartguard online through petmeds but your animal has to be seen by a vet first in order to have the heartworm test done. After that, you can elect to go via online instead of through the vet. I'm just not sure "how" because I have never done so.
My mom orders all of hers online and somehow the vet emails a prescription in for her.

Well guys, I think I have confirmation on what killed all my birds. A neighbor two doors down just lost her entire flock of 25. But this time she caught the culprits: a pair of German Shepards. They went into her run through a weak spot in the roof, slaughtered the birds, then couldn’t get out.

I didn’t consider entry from above amidst all the structural damage to my run walls. But the dogs might have been able to get into my run that way. The damage to the walls could have been them breaking out from inside afterwards. My poor birds never stood a chance :hit
Darn it.
I'm glad you got an answer.
I hate the not knowing feeling.

Ive never had any of my dogs on heartworm pills and they have always been negative. But they were and are inside dogs. Its crazy how people react when i tell them theyre not on preventative. They think my dogs will surely die of heartworms. I can see the shock on theyre faces lol
I don't like this Sam. :he

Kinda sucks the owners don’t care enough about their dogs to want to pay to keep them but at the same time, I’m glad they won’t be returning and I’m glad they can maybe now be adopted out to somebody who actually cares about them. For this reason, I’m also glad your neighbor did not just shoot them since clearly they weren’t being taken care of so it wasn’t really their fault. Maybe now they’ll go to good owners. :fl I do wonder though... was the previous owner even feeding them? Seems odd they’d kill so many bird so many times.
Dogs don't have to be hungry to kill birds.

So far so good! Per breeder instructions, we are giving him his space so he can de-stress and settle in. But I have been peeking in at him from time to time. He seems to love his cozy, warm log hide. :yesss: But he has also done some exploring. He has been to the far end of the tank to explore his cool hide. He has found his water dish and had a drink. And he must have found his supplement dish too cause there are little foot prints in it :love We picked up some mealies for him today and are gutloading them now. Tomorrow he will have his first meal in his new home.
What does gutloading mean?
