➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

All of us dog owners and former dog owners understand and sympathize with you and your situation.
Thanks Mr. Elk, I appreciate it.
I’d like to think that’s why we all stick around here.. no one else “gets” us chicken weirdos. ;)
Triumph is beautiful! I love his grey muzzle!
And you are the best owner a dog could have. Knowing when he is ready will be easier because you are taking the quality road.
We did the same with all our dogs. Our vets are the same way. Glucosamine/condrotin might help with Triumph's joints and arthritis. It helped both Red and Gracie. They were on it for several years. :hugs
Thanks nana. <3 I agree, I think he’s aged like a fine wine. But I might be biased. ;)
He is currently on glucosamine, chondroiton, and MSM both in his kibble and as a daily supplement. For a time that did help his limp significantly, but in the last year not so much.
Newer research has shown that joint and bone supplements are very effective when started from a younger age, not just for senior dogs. Sometimes I slip Theia some of his yummy vitamins too. :)

I know a lot of people call it snake oil, but hers is legit from a medical prescription and store. I had my doubts until I actually saw progress. I have my lively pug back, which is nice!
yeah they're will always be the naysayers the people stuck in the past by being fed the wrong information. But oh well I bet your dog appreciates you

We are not weirdos here in this thread.:old

The weirdos are out there...in other threads.

My beagles lump is on her side almost by her armpit. It doesn't bother her so the vet said it's fatty tissue and to not stress so I haven't. We rescued her from a hunter who no longer wanted her since she was gun shy. She's been my buddy ever since.

My pug has seizures and we took the option of treating them all naturally (real CBD) she used to have them two times a week, now she has one maybe every 6 months sometimes she goes 8 months. I had a dog when I was 18 that they put on phenobarbital for seizures and the dog passed away because of the medication so I never did medication again unless it was a life or death situation. It made the dog literally go crazy, I am still horrified from what I saw in those 2 weeks she used those meds.

I think all of us dog owners can understand why we either say yes to medical intervention or not. We all have our reasoning. Your dog is loved and knows it is :hugs
Having been on many seizure medications myself, I can attest that none are very fun at all. I’m sorry for your bad experience with them.
Congrats on finding something that works for your pug though, that’s awesome to hear. :hugs
