3 hatched. Waiting on the last three in the incubator. No pips. 24 hours done and will wait another 24 before calling the hatch. At lockdown, three were questionable.

Also have the replaceable edge razor knives if you don't like sharpening. If you are any bit unsure, get a pair of cut proof gloves. $10 and cheaper than an ER visit. Leather gloves are NOT cut proof, cut resistant or anything but cut-able.

I have the razor edge knife, I have sharpened them. I can do 7 birds before I need to sharpen or replace. I have to take the blade out to clean because the fat gets stuck in there.

I have cut gloves, I can't get the fat out of them and it gets rancid. I have soak them in dawn, washed them in clothes washer on sterilization cycle. I gave up

I would use the cut gloves for the killing. Then take them off after that. I cut myself when a cockerel was making a short lived objection. They don't object much after the killing cut.

I wouldn't use the cut gloves for butchering. Did you try putting latex gloves over the cut gloves? My hands are large enough for the evisceration. Gloves would make it more difficult.

I use a pipe cutter for dispatch. I was using the gloves for dismemberment. Didn't do latex gloves, the ones I have are so old the whole box of them are disintegrating. I have been being careful and doing less birds. More likely to be careless when tired
