I don't know. Whatever starts laying first, I guess? This year I have plans for Japanese quail, Chinese painted quail, Peaches, Buff Chanteclers, Call ducks, and maybe some Partridge Chantecler/White Rock crosses to form a cockerel line to use on the Leghorn pullets I will be buying as chicks.

In my experience, crosses between bantams and LF produce birds pretty much in between the size of the two.

I wanted to breed my polish with him, but she doesn't seem interested. She hasn't laid an egg yet either and I think she's close to 8 months old.
Mini chickens are the best, though! I keep thinking about abandoning my LF entirely in favour of my little dudes.Oh thank goodness!

Me too, that's why I haven't done it yet.They are pretty adorable!but we like our eggs too much
She gave him the dirtiest luck yesterday when he started dancing around her. I busted out laughing and told him that he needs to come up with something better.He’s new still. I’m sure she’ll get used to him!!
And some of my new pullets haven’t laid yet either. It’s the low light I think.
