➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Mine has never done that. Maybe he will when he's older. We've had him for a couple years. The little one is crazy. He's been non stop all day and stands up to get picked up. Petco employees obviously spoiled that little guy. We are making him a play pen area with a heat bulb so he can get all his zoomies out.

Awww he sounds so sweet. I am sure he will love he playpen! Tad loves windows so we bought her a window-mounted cat bed. Right now it is in a sunny kitchen window that is perfect for winter when it is too cold for outside time.

They vary. I've heard some will sleep for months and others will just nap a little more than usual.
IV is full grown but she is pretty young.

For the months of Oct. and Nov., Tad spent almost all of her time hiding in her cave. But she never went into the really deep sleep like IV and some other beardies do. She just napped, and hid, and glared lol. I took her out a couple times a week for bath/poop time and some window gazing and she would usually eat a little then too. Then Dec. came and she stopped hiding and started eating (and pooping!) enough for three dragons :gig

I'm going to try feeding roaches the small ones soon. The little one doesn't like Bob's freeze dried soldierworms. He has been eating them, but not like he enjoys it.

I agree with Tes; Roaches are an awesome live feeder. Easy to care for and very healthy for beardies. They are Tad’s main bug food. I buy them online from Dubi Deli.

Ummmm....don't they sell dried beans at ever grocery store?

:lau yeah probably but I didn’t know if they were like a special kind that was like hard to get or only available in certain areas or whatever. :lau

If we have a ham or something, I will use the bone in beans. But otherwise I usually just use lots of spices, onions, garlic, tomato paste, and veggie broth

That sounds good. Although tomatoes with beans sounds a bit weird to me but then again I guess that’s what chili is lol

She's a rescue so we can't know for sure, but estimated about 2 and a half years old.
We only feed live food so can't help you there! We are planning to start a dubia roach colony soon.
That's what I wanted to do with the roaches. I've been watching videos of people who have done them.

Bob never liked live, I don't know why. He likes freeze dried.

I can't stand cockroaches, they're maybe the only animal that will make me scream. But dubias are more like roly poly's than cockroaches. Really.
They're silent, can't even climb, and they have zero smell.
If I was a bug gal I would find them cute.. but I'm not a bug gal.
If you use plastic tubs or what not they can't climb out either. Better than most live feeders
