➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I'm going to drop out.. for a semester.
My mental health is at an all time low. I don't talk about it on here, depression and suicide are uncomfortable topics and all that. My husband and parents are behind me, so at least there's that.
Today was very long. Tomorrow will be longer.

:(

Tessie, I am so sorry! :hugs But I thinking taking some time off will be good. You need to do what is best for you and take care of yourself!! :hugs

And please know that we all care tons and would all miss you a lot. :hugs

:hugs I'm very sorry. Its comforting when you have a support system and I hope you're comforted in knowing they're behind you.

Make sure to eat active yogurt & good probiotics, you don't want to get c.diff.
I don't eat yogurt. Dairy makes my stomach angry. My nurse will hate me if they gave it to me. Right now I'm living off popsicles. I ate some of that dinner and it didn't agree with me so I'm going to refuse food from here on out.

There is an abandoned house next door to me also. I entertain the neighborhood cats at night on my patio- I guess it is the meeting place. I do have a 6 foot privacy fence around the yard and a 4 foot pig wire fence around the chicken yard. The chickens put themselves up at night, but I close the run door. I hate the cats- I used to keep my dogs food outside on the patio, but the cats kept eating it. They use my raised beds as a bathroom and I have lost a couple of young chicks that were out too late. I put up a game camera on the chicken yard fence post and wow. Can't poison them, can't shoot em, the dogs do run them off, but then the cops get called for barking dogs. Won't go in a live trap, I am at a loss for what to do.View attachment 2018241
Maybe a live trap with a can of tuna fish in it as bait?

Well, some good probiotics then at least. Dairy doesn't agree with me either. Gotta get home for the hatch & your pug!

@Tesumph 😘🤗😘🤗
Do what YOU need to take care of YOU, and I'm so glad you have a supportive & understanding family. That's a blessing.

I have a daily schedule charted out for each month. I never look at it. After the first month of retirement, I just started to let things slide. Right now, the chicken coop needs cleaned out, the quail cage needs cleaned, the fish tanks need to have a water exchange, the house is dusty and the clothes need washed. But- I did read a series of books this week. I do take care of feed and watering and taking the three dogs outside. I need to get back in the saddle, but I have really enjoyed the hiatus which has really only been a couple of months - everything was ship shape for the holidays. Oh well, even though the house and yard police won't come get me, I really need to get back on schedule.
Isn't it amazing how we got it all done and worked too?
Somehow time management skills were lost as soon as I retired. I see why they call it second childhood.
I have been retired since 2012. It's easy to get in a rut and let things go.
