Big Tool Upgrade Score at Home Depot!I was in town today running errands and, as usual, I stopped by Home Depot to check out any good deals and clearance items. I found a cart with some brand-new Ryobi HP tools that had been display models. So, the tools were never used but came with no box or manuals. The tools cannot be returned to the store, but they have the full 3-year warranty from Ryobi.
The clearance prices on the tools were fantastic. The Ryboi HP line of tools is their highest line of tools, probably semi-pro quality. I had not planned on buying any tools today, and to be honest, I have all these tools in the Ryobi non-HP line, so these were just upgrades to what I already have. Well, in some cases, significant upgrades.
Anyways, I wanted to show you guys something I discovered today. That is my 10% military discount was applied to the full retail price of each item instead of 10% off the clearance price. So, I really came out feeling great about the price I got these tools. I created a small table to show you how the costs break down...
I think I would have been very happy buying these tools at the clearance discount of 76%, but with my bonus military discount, I ended up getting an amazing 86% discount off full retail price.
