10 minutes on high pressure.
The instapot is great when I have stuff to do...load it up, set it and do my thing. It shuts off and things are greatI usually just use a pot haha might try the instant thing later though! Maybe tonight.
But too much hassle digging it out and setting it up right now.
I think I’ll just have eggs or something. Or maybe just some chips and salsa until I can decide cause I have to go check the chickens again.![]()
Mine isn't the instant out brand because my cover busted when it fell off the counter. So I got the power pot and the like it's features way better. It automatically closes the seal once you put the lid on so I don't ever forget to put it on seal. The instapot is great when I have stuff to do...load it up, set it and do my thing. Just make sure the release is on pressure or it will not seal and boil off. So get use to it before you leave it alone
Don't mind my tomato stained bowlI cooked tomato soup in it the other day. This is what the rice looks like while it's cooling down. I made 3 cups of rice so I doubled that recipe, I wanted enough rice for the week. I'll put refried beans and rice in a tortilla shell then put them in the oven to make them crispy.

It's rainy here and the chickens are hating it because they hate getting wet. I let mine free range every day in the huge run and they love to eat bugs all day. They're crazy thingsLooks good!! I’m so hungry. I haven’t had a chance to eat yet cause I was out with the chickens.
I let them out around 12 and then I refilled water, food, grit, oyster shell, etc. The grit and oyster shell were totally out and the food and water wasn’t empty yet but was low but I just figured I’d refill while I was out there. Was gonna get the eggs but there was a pullet in the nest boxes so I shut it.I’ll get them when she’s done.
I was also flipping things and uncovering worms and bugs for themThere’s a lot since it rained yesterday and is pretty damp today too.
Not actually raining anymore but misty, foggy, cloudy, etc. anyway, figured they could go under cover if it started raining. They were outside on the run anyway so I figured I’d give them a chance to stretch their wings. Been trying to let them out more lately.
