@Kiki Did you get your horse chick a roommate? I currently have one chick hatched and one egg pipped.

Just worked my butt off cleaning out and refilling the brooder. The brooder heater is on and drying out the freshly dug up sand.

He's not fussing so I think he will be ok.

Do you all see the little box with the note about all the contests for "Last Chance to Set Eggs!" for the Easter Hatch Along?
Well I've been collecting eggs from the breed pens and set 78 eggs this morning!
My last two hatches are 12 to 18 hours early so these should pop on time. Both of the previous hatches had 42 chicks. (42/53 and 42/65). The changes in temperature /colder weather may have affected the second hatch.
I have hatches scheduled for
March 26 (52 in the hatcher),
March 31 ( started with 53, candled with 39),
April 4 ( 73 to be candled in a few days) and now
April 11 (78) This hatch one of the roosters injured his knee and had to be replaced so Pen 4 may have a lower hatch rate.

They are auto sexing just like cream legbars are. She was close enough to the window that i could see her rose comb and no big white dot on her head that a cockerel would have.
