➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

They don't say anything about having roosters with them. No roosters, no fertile eggs.
I know, but the factory eggs hatch for some folks. Clearly roosters sneak in more often than one might suppose. I guess there are so many birds around it's probably not worth the trouble to wade in there and try to corral 'em? 🤷‍♀️

The refrigerated eggs that people get to hatch are Trader Joe's which are sold as fertilized eggs.

What disturbs me is the lack of grass in most of the pictures. Or specifically, the lack of forage. Grass is not the preferred forage. Herbs and other yummies are. This comes from the experts in the backyard.

Be careful what you believe from many of the so called "backyard experts" and their belief in herbs for poultry.
I'm referring to the chickens in the backyard & watching them eat in the backyard. They eat a little grass & a little bit of that other stuff And everything that I want to plant in the garden for me.

Ah, those "experts" that on occasion have been known to eat things that are not good for them.

Exactly! And specifically my so-called attempt at a garden.

I believe in trying everything, but they will try something and spit it out. The next will one try it and spit it out. Pretty soon, it's all tried out. My most immediate example is where the comfry was planted. Was.

I had an idiot rooster that not only tried the rhubarb leaves but kept going back for more.
