➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Holy early guinea hatch, Batman!

Last year, all my guineas hatched on day 26. So far this year, my keets have been arriving on day 28-29. Well, I thought my first 5 guinea eggs incubated in ONLY the Brinsea where “due” Thursday with my chicken eggs. Nope. Day 28 for these eggs is Wednesday, so today is day 26. I went to look at the eggs before I moved them to lockdown and I see one keet half out of its egg and one egg mostly zipped. I quickly pull my empty turning trays in my other Brinsea and move the keets and eggs in there while I warmed up my usual lock down incubator. In the next half hour, 3 of the keets hatched. They look perfect. They needed no help to hatch and there isn’t one jot of excess egg fluid. One more egg is externally pipped. The 5th egg looks iffy
(No visible veins or internal/external pips) but I’m giving it a chance. I’ve got 9 Cornish eggs ready to hatch Thursday and I expect 7-8 of them to have a fighting chance. 4 of them are from HAL.

Thus concludes another exciting adventure of the Crazy Cornish Lady.

Good morning!
