➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I decided to abandon the body wrap. The chicks looked miserable and were on their sides when I went to check. These little 1 cup pyrex bowls seem to do the trick. One chick is already able to stand up (if shakily) and is trying to jump out. I lined them with paper towels for traction and absorption. I'll just run them through the dish washer on sanitize.

Since I'm hatching so many, they kinda disappear into the rest of the flock after a while. The only chick I've helped that I can tell apart from the rest is Robinson. He'll probably end up being a main flock rooster if I don't use him for breeding (he'll get culled if he turns into a snot).
I don't breed those in case it's genitic and not an incubator issue
That's another reason I cull anymore... But mine aren't anything special.

I wouldn’t breed them either. Only the best here make it to breeding. That’s even for dual purpose because I don’t want to deal with issues when they hatch or issues customers may get.

As long as you don't name your dogs Soap and Water and substitute them for the real things.
Her name was Susie. I often referred to her as Susie the slut. At a party one time, a real Susie thought I was talking about her and received an explanation from a woman that knew what I was talking about. Everyone had a good laugh.
