➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Trees are not necessarily sufficient shade for poults that are being kept in a cage.
They were in the 30 ft x 40 ft dog kennel for about 2 weeks. It has trees that hang over it and there’s also a coop with a roof in the kennel that they could go in with great ventilation.

They were in the big run when they all passed away one by one. There was zero pox or anything.

Two falls ago one of my homemade clay eggs disappeared from a guinea nest. I usually find the missing eggs close to the nest. I didn't see it anywhere. I thought I would find it when I mowed but it never showed up.

Last spring when I when mowed over that particular nest, I spotted what looked like part of the egg in the same guinea nest. Upon closer inspection, it was the missing egg. The guineas had buried it in the nest the previous and the freeze, thaw cycles had uncovered it.
No such luck here, although we might find them when we mow that hill. We left it tall when we found the nest.

OMG!! I could never kiss my birds or reptiles if I had any!! :th

I kiss the dog and cat all the time and I might consider kissing my parakeets cause they’d probably be okay but I’d never kiss poultry :lau

I have wanted to a few times though actually but resisted because everything always says not to and the dangers. It is REALLY hard not to sometimes though. 😂🤣🙈
