What breed?
Kya is most likely a steer and is not 6 months old yet...if so he would weigh about 500 lbs. 6 months is weaning age for beef cattle.

I’m 99% sure steers don’t have udders and a vagina
I was told she is a Dexter cross, and also that she is around 6 months old-so she may be younger or older. The mama is a SemiAngus, and so is her baby I think.

So looking back at your photos...you have two cows and one calf? If so, Poppy is either a steer or a bull if not banded based on his his navel/sheath.

We have a cattle ranch with over 100 cows, 38 spring calves, 8 bulls and 21 replacement heifers. Our herd is mostly Angus. Part of the herd back in February.

Yep, two cows and the calf. I was thinking that too, when we first got her. But Poppy also has female genitalia.
