Won’t be a problem for me. My little sister might get attached though. She used to have a rabbit. Well, four rabbits, at different times. They all looked identical and she named them all Chloe.

The cottontails here are dark meat too, but these are my NZ whites that we put in the freezer over summer.

Yep, I raised those too back east. They are much bigger than a cottontail.

Much easier to process than poultry and 1/2 bunny is plenty for a meal for me and Mr Muddy

Yes you can process bunny with your bare hands. My uncle taught me when I shot my first rabbit at age 12. I still use the same hunting hat. There are pictures through the years, even though it is a duck hunting hat, I use it to hunt everything. (It was Daddy's and he gave it to me)

You can make pets out of your breeders and then babies are recyclable pets they’re all cute and cuddly for 8 weeks and then you get more to play with!!!!

I think you could process anything with your bare hands, if you really wanted to.

My father and I had a great meal that we didn't have to share. I stuffed and roasted some of my rabbits. The rest of the family wouldn't even taste them.

They weren't pets to me or my father. They were delicious.

Or sit on a car hood on a back road and shine rabbits. Yes those were the days. Catching Gar fish longer than your 8 foot flat boat.
I really do miss those days, wish I could go back and do them over, even though some of that stuff, it's a wonder I am still alive.

I was in a pirogue (one of only a few times im not that balanced ) anyway 2 of us in a pirogue and we had a stringer of sacalait 1 or 2 and all of a sudden I heard from behind "****** ******" and I turned back and his upper half was soaking he said he went to pull the stringer to check on the fish and right at the top a giant gar splashed. All we could figure is he was following us and bit when he moved it. Yep pirogue is not my thing lol

Yeah, that’s what I was planning on doing- getting young ones for breeders, to be nice. Then eat/sell the babies.
