So private companies generate the power and supply it to the state of Texas super gods.
Some of these private companies literally froze so they cannot produce the energy that provides us with electricity.

And in the last hour or so they were able to get a couple hundred thousand people back up and running.

school is on synchronous e-learning again tomorrow and DS1 got out of work an hour early today with no penalty if he calls in tomorrow (provided they don’t decide to cancel his shift). DS2 went into work this morning scheduled to work a full day.....haven’t heard yet if they are planning to close early.

We rarely ever get snow here, so when we were little, on nights when we got a hard freeze, Daddy would put a hose in a tree on trickle. The next morning we had a winter wonderland. Few of the neighborhood kids had ever seen snow. So we thought the ice was really cool. :lau:lau:gig
My neighbors do that. They strap a hose with the sprayer full blast to an 8' step ladder and aim it at a cypress tree. By morning the kelidescope happens

Your electric company froze? What did they have to do? Go to home depot and buy a blow torch?

I take out all large sources of water and switch to small cups starting in October. Three have broken from the freeze/thaw already. Anyone know of a good super glue that can handle this mess?
I use rubber tubs. Flip it over, step on it to pop out the ice block, fill again.
The mini says he isn't frozen.
I just forced him to come inside to warm his feet up with the hair dryer.

How will we know if he really is starting to freeze?

He will know. He will feel the burn.

They are pretty nice. You can also get a heated base from TSC for any existing waterer you have. https://www.amazon.com/Farm-Innovators-HP-125-Poultry-125-Watt/dp/B000HHQDPM
Except for plastic.
