I’ve read a thesis done at UGA. It is possible but for what resources are available to me your probably right.
Yeah I'm sure it could work in some places but....

Let me put it this way...I know without a doubt it would not work for where I live so it's hard for me to understand how we could possibly work anywhere.

You know it's kind of like how I don't understand how northerners don't have air conditioners in their house.

It depends on where you are and how much you know what you're doing. I believe that you will also need permits for this kind of operation. Check with your game department and do your research.
I’ve looked into it some and it is probably out of reach for an individual. Multiple permits are required just to trap the surrogates not to mention the housing of them.
I was really just curious if anyone here had been involved with something similar. I know UGA and Texas A&M have done something like this. The survival rate was significantly higher doing this versus just the release of birds.
