My chickens have been staying inside during the cold spell. The turkeys sleep outside no matter how cold it gets.

I guess this is proof that chickens aren't stupid.

Mine were running around the chicken yard at 12 degrees this morning. They do have their coop and their nest box area has a good 6" of clean pine shavings so they can stay warm if they choose to.

No, I think I threatened to kill them all.
I may have killed one cage but not all.

I seriously don't think mine came off of the roost bar all day.
Every time I went out to change the waterer out they were up there.
The quail were playing in the snow that I did not clean out of their cages on purpose.
