"Thank you Settled Dust!" He barked happily. "Should I tell Leopard's Bite?"

Settled Dust gave a small croak of a laugh "I wouldn't recommend it Ice, I will tell her for you, she tends to not listen to New-Colors, especially males." She said with a sigh before nudging the warthog tusk back to him "Finding signs is no easy task though, you'll have to train hard to get the Spirits attention!"

"I will." He vowed. "Where do I start?"

"I will." He vowed. "Where do I start?"

"Watch the other Shamans, you also have to know the best places to find signs, they can even be different depending on the dog. I am good at reading signs on pelts but you might find signs elsewhere like in bones or the wind or a number of other things. Don't expect to get it immediately either, the Spirits must test you first. If you succeed you may even get signs from Cagn themself!" Settled Dust explained carefully, she had been a Shaman her whole long life so she had a lot of wisdom on the subject.

"Cagn?" He squeaked. "That's amazing! I promise I'll do my best to learn how to find signs."

Flower sighed and stood up, shaking off her dusty pelt. She stood up and left the camp, deciding to go for a walk be herself. After a few minutes, she scented something rather strange. It had a kind of sweet scent, but all of her instincts were telling her to run. She walked closer and spotted something rather disturbing. It had pink skin and had a green chest, back, and part of its legs. It stood on two legs and spoke in gruff, unfamiliar voices. She felt her neck hair raise, and she raced away, bolting back into camp. "Leopard's Bite?!" She barked, hoping the she-dog was in camp

Settled Dust smiled "Yes, I'm sure you'll do well, I've gotten a few signs from Cagn in my time, they're always bigger and tell us something important but Cagn rarely sends them... Maybe one day you'll get one from him too but first you must train!"

Leopard's Bite perked up in curiosity at Flower, she noted that the dog was breathing heavily like she had been running and her slightly raised fur told the Pack Organizer something had spooked her. "What is it?" She asked with a worried frown.

"I will!" He promised.

"I saw... something. They were standing on two legs... They had a weird almost sweet scent." She panted

Settled Dust nodded "Good, now go join a hunt! It'll be your first time far from camp and who knows, you might like hunting or guarding more the reading signs, keep your limited options open young one!" She suggested kindly

"Humans!" Leopard's Bite snarled, there was nothing she hated more "Where did you see them?" She demanded.

"Thank you Settled Dust." He stood up and gave her a respectful lick before padding out of the den.

Flower took a deep breath and barked "Near the East side of the river."

"Oh it's no problem! Don't leave this old dog in the dark though, if you think you see a sign you should keep me in the loop!" She called to the departing New-Color, a smile still on her muzzle as she settled back down into her nest.
~
"That's pretty far off, you shouldn't wonder so far by yourself! I'll lead a patrol there and see what they're up too, those pests have become such a thorn in my side!" Leopard's Bite growled with great annoyance
