Vanessa had wasted no time in checking Jaxson once more and then going to her office to get a few supplies.
When she returned, a guard who had been sent to help her stood by the door. He had propped the unconscious Jaxson up against the wall and now he waited for instruction, either by Vanessa or over his walkie-talkie.

Amy flipped the sign on the door so that the view from outside read 'Closed' before locking the door. She had been waiting to do that for nearly an hour now, but a couple at the counter had prevented her from locking up at the actual closing time. But now, they were gone, and she could commence cleaning.

Aya thought for a few moments before shrugging and replying.
"Eh, what the heck. Sure." She replied simply with a polite smile. "I'm a doctor, which means I work late hours, so of course I like coffee. That's a given."
(Going to bump this just in case it gets buried.)

(I didn't miss it, just didn't have the time to reply ;) )
Devine smiled, pleased with her reply. "Then you would know the restraunt most preferable for a good cup of coffee." He allowed her to lead the way, while silently noting that she was a doctor.

Artemis sprinted through the open doorway, able to avoid the man who nearly had caught up with her not understanding that the men had only withheld from shooting because of him. She didn't look back to judge whether or not she should shoot those who followed her knowing that that would only take away the precious time she had left.

(Here, Gar. Don't know if you saw this, but it was the last post of a page, which I tend to miss.)

"Alrighty then. I think I know a rather good place we could go to." Aya told him and led the way to a small cafe. She did want to go to a different little local coffee shop, the owner being a girl named Amy, she recalled, but she was sure it would be closed by this time so they would have to settle for something different.

Han saw on the camera's footage that Artemis had ran out the door. He decided that it was time to take this into his own hands, since all of these soldiers seemed to be idiots when it came to their extremely important job.

Running from the footage room with his gun in hand, he arrived at the exit that Artemis had left through, and all of the guards who cared more about making sure their hurt man was okay rather than killing the prisoner.

"What are you doing?!" He shouted at them. "Either you get here with Artemis' dead body, or you're all fired! And if you don't want to follow my orders, I'll put a bullet through your head instead of that girl's, how does that sound? So go do it!"

The guards didn't hesitate to follow Han's intimidating orders, and ran out the door in pursuit of Artemis. But by this time even Han was doubting their chances, since his soldiers had wasted so much precious time acting like idiot sheep.

Artemis slowed as the distance between her followers grew in length, hesitating at which direction she should follow; one was bound to lead her to safety, while the other her death. The only problem was, deciding which one was which. It didn't matter. Artemis fled in one direction, she couldn't waste time since it would not help her to know what was right. Risks were always risky, after all.

The guards ran in the direction they were sure Artemis went, but stopped when the trail split into two paths. The trail was paved, and so they were unable to find any kind of footprint, which meant that whichever trail they chose could completely waste precious time.

"We need the dogs!" One of them said, and used his walkie talkie to request having the dogs brought to this location. All of them waited extremely impatiently, knowing every second they waited was another percentage of them possibly not getting fired gone.

Artemis slowed her step as she followed the paved trail. She was extremely tired of pushing herself so hard not having the strength she usually possessed been given so little food these last few days. She kept herself moving, so that she was still gaining distance between the men who persued her, even though she was pacing herself. She needed to give herself a break, just so that when she needed to run she would again have some of the energy she had at first, then maybe she wouldn't push herself to the brink of death. She left the path and walked deeper into the forest. She knew that it was risky, but she hoped the leaves would hide her footprints knowing that iy would be much harder for anyone to follow her.
