(why yes, of course. not to say that he'll recognize her though XD)

Jaxson hung his head a bit now and there was a lull in the conversation before he answered. "No, she doesn't. I can't stay long because I promised I'd help her with an early dinner, and you know how she is with time," he said a little louder than he meant.

"How is she?" Amy managed to ask, keeping a steady voice.

"She's changed, as have we all since then," Jaxson replied. "She's seemed more bitter about it than the two of us, oddly enough. Still won't talk to me much about it." He shrugged. He looked up slowly at Amy but her attention had strayed to a group of people that had just come in.

Despite looking disinterested, Amy was listening to every word. Amy knew where Vanessa's bitterness was coming from but she didn't think now a good time to tell Jaxson. "I'm really sorry, but I have to attend these people," she said honestly. Artemis was new to this and a crowd may stress her out.

Jaxson, understanding, said, "I need to go anyway, but if it's okay with you, I can come back? Maybe tomorrow?"

Amy nodded and found herself saying, "Please do," before going to serve the customers. "Layla, I've got this if you'll go put the remaining muffins away," she told Artemis.

(Aw :( :p )
Artemis found taking orders from the large crowd that had come was good. It distracted her from being concerned for Amy, or even from being slightly hurt from her actions. None of that mattered though, she falsely convinced herself. When Amy came to her aid she made no reply, but looked to Jaxson one last time before going to the kitchen as told.

Jaxson watched the exchange and as Artemis passed by, he called out to her. "Can I get something to go?" He asked.

"Just a cup of black coffee. Nothing added, please," Jaxson requested. He tried not to stare, but she seemed familiar. Her voice, that is. "I'm sorry, but have we met?" He asked. He could of sworn he knew her.

Artemis mentally wrote down Jaxson's order along with those of the crowd. "No." She answered more rashly than she had meant. She then momentarily closed her eyes in regret, answering the way she did only raised the suspicions that they had in fact met before. "No," she answered again more quietly before leaving to the kitchen.
