(Not really, as previously mentioned by Jaxson he was tired of bringing people to be executed, but since these people were nameless they could be anyone, including Artemis' dad :p )

"I am not a murderer." Artemis defended. It was true, she may have wounded a few C.M.I. agents to protect herself or someone else, but she had never killed anyone, and never would even if told by her superior. Artemis simply wasn't a killer. "You may have not killed my father, but you bear the same amount of blood on your hands as the one who did for not only stopping the death but in aiding it." The pain of trying to hold back the tears collected in her throat, and Artemis gasped for breath. "Just, stop. Just stop." She whispered, taking a step back. The back of her hand was thrown against her mouth as she erupted into sobs. Artemis turned away and fled up the stairs, seeking an escape from Jaxson's explaination in the shelter of Amy's apartment.
Jaxson looked helplessly to Amy as she entered.
"It's best to just leave her for now," Amy said softly. "It's been a long past few days on all of us and I honestly don't think all those tears are because of what you did in the past."
Jaxson reached an arm out to her and when she neared, he pulled her into a side hug. "I've missed you," he said softly.
Amy closed her eyes to rest them and chuckled in reply. Subject hopping, something he had never been very subtle at. "The house was quiet after you left. I'm sure yours wasn't though, what with Vanessa being doubly upset and all."
Jaxson nodded in agreement. Indeed, Nessie seemed to have grown more brusque that year. Amy had balanced it out when they lived with the Westons. The quiet of the kitchen would have been nice but for the muffled sobs he could hear from upstairs. "What Artemis said, it's true. But you know better than anyone there was nothing I could do about it."
Amy gave a small shrug as best she could and replied, "Of course I do. Don't tortue yourself over the the thought that you killed her father, because you didn't, not anymore than Vanessa killed mine." She looked up at him and studied his eyes for a moment, trying to discern what he was thinking. "Please, don't torture yourself."

Artemis reached a trembling hand to close the door as her legs collapsed beneath her. Possessed by emotions of sadness she crawled to the inside of the door frame and leaned against the wall, allowing herself to sob the tears she had kept locked inside of her, threatening to burst these last two years.
(Goodnight.)

Brooklyn and Simeon are somewhere, my characters and Artemis are somewhere else, your characters are somewhere, and I don't know where FM64's character is. Any more questions? XD )
(...So...Anything I need to know before I start role playing with my dudes? XD)

Jaxson broke the gaze and pulled his arm away. "I just, it's just so hard not to sometimes. Not only with her dad, but with everyone. I feel like there are things I could do but Nessie would freak. If it was just me then I would do more. But I've got her to think about since what I do usually affects her as well. Helping Artemis escape, as lightly as Vanessa passed it off, is going to come back around to us I know."
Amy gave him a pat on the shoulder and went to pour to cups of coffee. "Jaxson, you're doing the best you can do and that's what counts," she assured him.

The sky was still light outside, but Artemis was tired, both emotionally and physically, so she carried herself the couch. Having the quilt surround her body, she cried herself to sleep; hoping to awake to the refreshment of a night's sleep.

Simeon didn't bother with any greeting. He whispered "If I were you, I would leave your house. The C.M.I. are at mine. They didn't even know where I lived." Shouts and the breaking of things could be heard in the background, and also- Simeon's gun being loaded.

"Simeon," Brooklyn quickly answered, "where is your house? I'll park a few blocks away and will come for you." She too, armed herself while awaiting directions.

Jaxson glanced towards the stairwell, concern written on his face. "I should go now," he said abruptly, waving away the offered coffee.
Amy set the cups down and nodded, understanding. She needed to go check on Artemis anyway and lock the shop up. "Okay, well, I guess this is bye for now," she said somewhat sadly, giving him a quick side hug and walking with him to the door.

After he was gone and out of sight, she bolted the back and front entrance then headed upstairs.

Artemis slept on the couch, her knees pulled against her chest beneath the quilt. Although it had been a few minutes since she fell asleep her cheeks still glistened with fresh tears.
