Artemis raised her head as Mythe stood closer, keeping her fear of him from his knowledge. "What are you implying, Mythe?" She demanded fiercely.

"I am sure you know very well what I am implying. We have somebody you care about, somebody who willingly trusts us. You know I don't care what happens to him, and last time we had you torture wouldn't work, and neither would simple talking." Mythe sighed before he continued on,
"If you don't tell us what we know you know, and what we want to hear, someone could get hurt. And this time it's not just you."

Artemis glanced away from Mythe to avoid his gaze. The most important thing Artemis taught her herself was to guard her emotions, to appear disinterested and unafraid so that it would be harder for people to hurt her. But with Caden, she felt her callused heart simply melt. For once in her life Artemis was completely and utterly vulnerable, and she hated it.

Mythe could tell that Artemis was torn as he looked at her, and felt satisfied with what he had said.

"So what will it be now? Family, or pride? If you really choose to save him, maybe Caden will start feeling a little different about his sister who murdered her parents, and left him for dead." He chuckled and shook his heads, "Kids will believe anything."

"I'm not going to hurt you, I'm simply going to give you a choice. It's Han's choice of how much time you have."

"Until Han says that my time is up, I will not make that choice." Artemis clarified furiously, turning to glare at Mythe.

"Good, I'll tell Han that. Don't expect anything too long. If you choose to let your little pet Caden go, then we'll just bring him in here and put on a show."
Mythe gave Artemis a fake smile and began walking backwards to reach the exit,

"If you get lonely maybe just shout until we notice, and I'll come to make you shut up. Because not beating you half to death wasn't my idea, really. Be careful."

Pain was clearly evident in Artemis' expression. She had endured so much pain and suffering to gain peace, but did it? Why did she have to make this choicd? If Mythe had stayed a moment longer she would have pleaded that he kill her now so that all of her wordy troubles could simply perish.

Devine lead the way through a back entrance behind the building, which broke off into many alleyways that faced opposite directions. He chose one at random since he knew they would eventually end up in the center of the city no matter which path they took. They were many confusing twists and turns along the path, which is why he had taken this alley instead of the more direct path he usually took; it would be too hard for Aya to remember the way.
