German pastel quail eggs and Norwegian jaerhon/isbar eggs showed up yesterday! Set those suckers and now we wait. Haha. My good little broody duck is still faithfully sitting, she’s got less than a week to go from my estimated set date, and the 2 I let her keep are looking great! :wee This girl just keeps adding reasons to why she’s my favorite bird. Haha.

Update: All my babies have hatched except three, two are dead, one from what looks like a bacterial infection, and another from suffocation after the external pip.😢 But on the bright side I have one more that's externally pipped and it is going strong! And on the brighter side, my two babies that had the really bad looking navels pulled through last night, they look better this morning, also I have now 11 chicks running around in the "fluffing" incubator!🥰 It is like a cuteness overload!! In total if this last hatches I'll have 12 chickies! That's my highest hatch number that I've ever had! This has been one of the best hatches ever, besides my geese they were pretty awesome to.

So after messing with the temp on my "trouble" incubator, I decided to test out the other incubator and the hatcher. My main incubator is spot on! My hatcher....looks like it was heading toward having the same issue as my other incubator....the calibrated meat thermometer was off and it was running a bit hot too. Time to schedule weekly spot checks on the temperature of all 3 so it doesn't creep up there again! Trying again with Aracaunas (arrived in the mail today), Salmon Faverolles (arriving tomorrow or Saturday), and Barnevelders (arriving Tuesday). Also incubating some Easter Eggers for a friend (arriving with the Salmon Faverolles).
