Setting blue bresse, puncheon, and duckwing Phoenix bantam eggs in the hatcher today.

So many babies.... well I hope so anyway. Just moved 37 eggs to lockdown a tad late most are due tomorrow... a couple the next 2 days.... silly broodies quit so the eggs are in the incubator. Should be a nice mix of colors

I have another hatch, it is a Chipmunk pattern, and one of the other eggs has pipped.

Here are my two quail from the last hatch enjoying my bed. The white one likes cuddles, but the tuxedo just wants to sit in the sunlight.

Small dilemma...

Broodie duck stopped sitting on her eggs out of nowhere! 8 eggs were left in the nest and cold. Candled them all and put the 4 that looked alive still, in an incubator with a goose egg and deathlayers.

Only one survived the cold temps after mom got up and left. Not sure what to do with it. Concerned, but also want to just leave it be. It looks pretty far along (no clue how long she has been sitting on them). My guess is maybe 24/25 ish days.

Duck hatching professionals, what would you do?

2 duckwing Phoenix bantams hatched and 1 Pyncheon and 3 blue bresse pipped.

Three texas A&M quail chicks hatched with no problems. One managed to get it's entire leg out of the shell though. It was pretty couldn't clear that it couldn't push the shell off on it's own so I just pulled it out of the shell. Ohhh that quail was mad. As soon as it got out of the shell it started to kick me and flail around in my hands. It flailed around in the incubator at first to, but then it learned to walk and just ran around the incubator.
