It is too quiet in here. My office normally has the background noise of running incubators going for a full year now. It's spooky. the Last incubator was cleaned and peroxide treated and is drying so it can be packed up for the move.

I would have made this joke earlier, but I just started reading the thread.

Excellent timing actually. My hatch started yesterday afternoon and most of them zipped and popped like popcorn. Last one being earlier this morning.

Here’s a pic of my speckled blue quail egg. These are what I’ve been putting in the incubator lately. I want to check fertility then I’ll start saving eggs for the end of August.

I can’t hatch in early August because of prior plans. It’s not because I don’t want to lol

I got 4 Roma tomatoes this morning and 4 chicken eggs. I’ll collect more tomatoes tonight when they’ve ripened. We have two 4x4 gardens and a bunch of potted tomato plants. Nothing too big.

I started 5 muscovy eggs due the 1st of aug. Added 7 Turkey eggs from my blue slate pen. And then a week later added 44 chicken eggs they are from 2 different pens my Heavy assorted pen(this is where my Big roosters are as well as my biggest hens including my light brahma and red broiler hold overs)

The second pen has my American bresse, red laced white cornish and some assorted mixed girls in with my splash turken rooster

this should be an exciting hatch.

Im helping a friend build her flock so I have ordered FWM eggs, FWM x blue/green layers and brown leghorn x "assorted layers" which are breeds like Australorp, Ancona, plymouth rock etc. They ship on the 24th and will be here between then and the 28th for an August hatch.
