I put 4 more quail eggs in my incubator I need to stop.

I plan to do this next hatch .... oh and I put 6 muscovy eggs in due aug 22??? Oh then the silly muscovy hen went broody! I plan to add one more batch of eggs to hatch with the muscovy then be done till December. That's when we plan to start hatching for next years county fair... I might have a very small addiction????

I got 6 American Bresse today, I candled them and 5 of 6 look good. 1 looks like it had been shaked up pretty good, so I don't think it is any good. I let them sit for 8 hours then set them and 1 LO egg in the incubator, hatch day is August 12th.

I was thinking the same thing today when I realized I’ve been hatching for 11 months straight

Hiiiiii.... I’m here. I think I have a problem.

8 runner duck eggs in my incubator. They’re beautiful big blue eggs and I don’t have any blue egg layers in my flock so here’s hoping we get some girls!!

I’ve got to stop after this month because we will be at capacity until the chicks mature we know what Roos/drakes we will keep vs use for meat.

*repeats to self* I WILL NOT HATCH MORE EGGS UNTIL NEXT SPRING. I WILL NOT HATCH MORE EGGS UNTIL NEXT SPRING.......

Well...I will not be able to unpack the incubators until the end of September as we have to be out of this house on September 8th, so...I ordered 50+ chicks to arrive August 14th. That should let me fill requests for pullets in the beginning of September that are starting to come in.

On the other hand I am being overwhelmed in eggs. I have 18 dozen eggs from the past week and the pile is growing daily. And I do mean pile as I have run out of egg cartons

I have chicks scheduled to hatch on the 31 of July or the 1 of August, then I have another batch scheduled to hatch a week or so after that. I !

Can you donate them to a food pantry or church food pantry? They are scrapped looking for food for people during this virus. Put some feelers out and see who accepts them.
