Well you can, but they get bored and don't eat as much. 😁.

I bought Storeys guide to ducks by your recommendation, awesome book.
I buy animals in pairs usually 😂 except for the cat... he’s the only one I plan on having. He’s a handful since he was feral so it’s like having 2 cats when he gets frisky and puffs up chasing the dogs 😂

I'm hatching lots of olive eggers this month f1-f4. IMG_6802.jpg IMG_6694.jpg

5th for me this summer. My Dutch hatched ed a bunch of chicks that are 13 weeks old and one went broody a couple of weeks for the second time this summer and hatched three a week ago, now my australorp is sitting on 8 barnyard mixes from my own flock. I hope this will be my last. But my other dutches sounds like ticking bombs and I keep taking the eggs away and I haven’t given them a chance to stay in the nest 🙃

FBCM update Day 14...
23 shipped eggs total; 3 clear and 1 quitter. 19 going strong! I am so excited and nervous at the same time! After my last hatch of only 1 out of 18, I can't help but be nervous. I weigh my eggs to check humidity levels and I found that they haven't lost as much weight as they should so I lowered my humidity from 45%-48% down to 38%-40%. On average they've lost 6% but the biggest egg in the hatch only lost 2% weight but it's looking strong. I don't know if there's anything else i should be doing and advice is appreciated!

I'm having a similar issue with my Marans eggs. I have FBC and BBS, they are all heavy at day 10 and I run between 30-35%. I'm letting them get to 20% to check on day 14. Worried about my CCL eggs in there with them. Time will tell.

My duckies may be technically joining the August hatch along instead of July. Lol. Slowpokes. 🤦‍♀️ All but one are internally pipped so far. The one did wind up pipping opposite the air cell so I assume that one will still be a while.
The quail eggs are still in transit. They sat for 2 days in Winnipeg for no apparent reason. Now they’ve arrived to the post office here but I have no idea if they’re going to deliver them or if they’re just going to sit on them like they did with my last order. I even called and they were all like, “oh, no, there’s no box here for you”. 😡😡 then the mail man tells me they just didn’t give him the box. 🤦‍♀️
