🐝💗Our Backyard Beekeeping Journey!💗🐝

I feel like I should be doing bee things...lol I think it was 37°F this morning. Looking at a high of 58, so I'm sure the girls will be flying.

I will be waxing the hive boxes hubs built at some point between now and spring. We have a lot of projects going on at our place, per usual. So not sure when that will happen.

I also need to finish up the article I've been working on, now that it's almost winter, I might have more time. I have access to my computer again, so that will be much easier to type and edit on, than my phone. After I publish, I will be adding more once spring hits and I learn more about swarm control.

It was 22°F here this morning. It got up to 48°F and is currently 42°F. Not much bee activity today.

Replaced 7 empty quarts of syrup out of 12 today. Really slowing down and taking longer to empty. Have 1 1/2 gallons mixed. Hopefully I can use it up. Haven't wrapped the hives yet. Predicted temps for November are kind of odd. No need for wrap if I believe it. Think I'll use my stand on the back porch at 4AM thermometer to decide. Very, very little bee activity today.

28F here this morning and 50s in the afternoon. Bees are just foraging for water now. Pollen and nectar are done until next spring. I have one nuc I may start feeding fondant to, it's a bit light. If you missed the Randy Oliver webinar this evening, it will be posted in December. Lots of great information.

I was so bummed I missed it. We had to go into town. I'm glad it will be posted soon.
I haven't looked to see if my girls are going after water. They've slowed way down on their syrup consumption.
