🐝💗Our Backyard Beekeeping Journey!💗🐝

What kind are you getting, and what kind did you sell?
Sold a VIVO manual 2 deep 2 medium, looking to get a motorized 4+ frame. Just started looking, have all winter. Maybe take a look at what the local Bee Supply has to offer. Found myself having to expand because of honey requests, not something I expected.

We have a Vevor manual, 2 deep, 2 medium. Hubby is thinking of ways to motorize it or at least make it easier than a hand crank.
I believe we may have a Vevor also, names are so similar. Don't hold me to it but I believe I did see a conversion kit to motorize a hand crank unit. I am undecided on a radial or tangential. Have to weigh the pros and cons. Biggest are radial doesn't extract as dry as the tangential, latter tends to leave basket wire grid on comb. Either way frees me up to decap as others are being extracted.

I did not know that.

I just assumed that radial had more capacity, was more attractive to people who had several hives and had a lot of honey to harvest.

Seems it comes down to peas and carrots, apples and oranges for small operations. But I really don't like the basket wire imprinting the comb. I'm looking at the Bee Castle 4/12 frame electric. Will do 12 Mediums, combination of 8 radial 4 trans. Would be more comfortable Just running 8 radial.
