I've got 3 EEs. 2 hens and 1 roo who is in bully camp. They didn't lay till 7 months. Is that roughly average for EEs? I know a few breeds can be in there genetics so was wondering if that meant different EEs lay earlier or later. My roo has muffs but not the hens.

Some of mine are 8 months and still haven't laid.

Guess since this thread has people in it, I should show my own birds. Back in october, I hatched 8 eggs from my easter egger hen “Cleo”. 3/5 were pullets, and of those 3 2 have peacombs- aka should lay green eggs. I named the black cuckoo one “Legoland” but haven’t named the silver one yet. They’re almost 3 months old!

The white one looks like a chick I hatched out in 2021!

My EE Louisa is in the middle here. I love her grey accents! Her beard & tail feathers are grey, the rest goldish.

She looks like a Legbar minus the big hairdo! Just a teensy bit around the comb. I bet she is!

That is a long time ...now I'm wonderin if I crossed my ee with my rhode island..would those lay at 5 months or 7 or split the difference and lay at 6
