Hey Lacy!
Sorry that I forgot to invite you to this thread! šŸ˜›
To answer your question, I have never gotten a double yolker from Nala. But then again, she only recently started laying.
Hi Clucky!
That's ok. I'm here now. :D
Ok. I've had a few. It's actually a sad yet common sight to see the double yoker one in a nesting box on the hottest days. Heat has something to do with it, I've guessed? Anyways, I think Twyla might be a double yoker. She's only laid one normal egg so far. True, just the beginning, but we'll see....

I canā€™t wait to see if Trinity lays the same color as Nala! They are from completely different batches, if that makes a difference .

Excited to join this group, first time with EEs for me. 4 that hatched by surrogate Leghorn, 5 weeks today! I think I have 2 boys and 2 girls....maybe a bit early but that is my guess.

I can't wait till mine lay either. From what I read could be 6 months? Is that correct guys? Now that their flock mate the rooster is re-homed they are starting to finally hang out with main flock ā¤ļø :he:thumbsup. He was so flighty and had the so scared. I can't go near them .
Some of my EEs aren't even 5 months old yet, and some of them are laying. Layers usually start at 5-6 months old, so maybe my birds are just weirdos.

I have 3 pullets as shown in picture. I bought 4 but as you can all see "Henry" is neither female or an EE!?!. My girls are very flighty but they are the youngest of new chicks added this year, question is this scared attitude normal for EE? View attachment 3223236
What kind of chicken is that on left, the greyish silver one, I have 2 but don't know what they are?? Thanks
