💖 The Offical Easter Egger Lover’s Thread 💖

Pics
Easter Eggers are one of my very favorites! I've had Easter Eggers since the beginning.

Here are my current EEs.

Toasty Bernice (6 1/2): Lays blue eggs. She was originally named Bernice, but she had a twin named Toasty. After one died, I couldn't for the life of me tell who was who, even after looking at multiple photos. So now her name is Toasty Bernice. :gig

Asha (6 1/2): Lays brown eggs. I believe she has pendulous crop. I nearly put her down her crop problems were so bad. But she is doing much better after many treatments (thanks BYC!).

Ladybug (5 1/2). Lays blue eggs. She is very talkative!

Your EEs are beautiful! 😍😍 I especially love Asha! Her roundness and coloring is just gorgeous. I have a chicken named Asha too! She’s a lavender Orpington 😁

I lost this thread for a lot longer than I realized! My bantam EEs (Penny is the one in the picture) just started laying this week and the eggs are a beautiful light blue and sooo tiny!

I think Peaches is getting near POL too, so I will be on the look out for new eggs! Would be fun if she throws something more green! She’s getting so pretty too! My only EE without a beard/muffs! But just the sweetest girl 😍

More pics of my sweeties, these are the younger ones, just started laying! So eggciting!!! These eggs are a bit more in the green side, as compared to my other mature EEs.

6 are hens
2 are Roos
Holy Moly
What am I gonna do! 😆

1) Pepper is a boy so now his name is Dr. Pepper
7763 (1).jpeg

This cutie pie is Sienna & she has a nearly identical sister except for a clump of feathers on her head that stand straight up...was kicking around ideas for her name, was calling her Top Notch but now I know she is a hen, so Pippi sounds cuter.
2) This is Sienna

3) This is Pippi

This Blue-gray girl is calm & mostly minds her business, but if someone tries to bully her, she just shoves them away like a bulldozer! It's hilarious, no pecking with her, she's a Plow-a-saurus Rex clearing the path like a storm.
4) Her name is Stormy
7710.jpeg

Another pair resemble eachother in feather pattern except one is black & white with the other having gold tones. Haven't decided on names yet so I welcome ideas, they're both curious & sweet natured. 5 & 6

This is a pretty girl, white with some blue gray tints speckled throughout.
7) Pretty Pearl
7775.jpeg

The other surprise Roo (cuz they were all "supposed" to be hens, lol) needs a good name as well. He has red with blue gray in his feathers.

Oh they’re all so pretty and sound like they come with lots of personality 😍

Dr. Pepper is just gorgeous! I love the contrast of the green sheen with the gold colors 😍 bet it’s even prettier in person!

I love how you can see their personalities in these pictures 🥰 I’m terrible with name ideas but a silver and gold tandem of some sort seems like it would be good 😁 Yin and Yang or something mirrored…

Forgive me if I'm wrong as I'm still very new to the chicken world!
But aren't easter eggers supposed to have the pea comb? Are there exceptions to this I suppose?
Beautiful girls! And those eggs!:love
They can have single combs and pea combs! I think they are so beautiful and unique in so many different ways! I had four EE 2 had pea combs and 2 had single combs!
