Yeah. I'm not so great of the motorway but I go past quite frequently. Sheffield, Bradford, Chesterfield and Leicester are my haunts! If I've been naughty I get sent to Coventry!

DW has a permanent spot for me in that city
I used to live in Bradford - a great place with superb countryside very close by - ditto Sheffield for that matter (obviously). My sis lives on the tops above Holmfirth which is nice (for two weeks of the year ).

It is beautiful countryside up there. I love all the old stone buildings. It surprising how area is untouched by development considering its between Manchester Sheffield and Leeds/Bradford.

Yeah, millstone grit has gotta be the best building material in the Pennines - it’s just “right”

Well, a week at my sisters’s place and you will realise why nobody in their right mind would live up there It’s so exposed that no trees grow - only fit for sheep (and me on a Sunday afternoon)
