Thanks I'll ask her. She said she was setting some this week I think.I bet WV will know for sure, since she has bantam cochins, but I'd guess probably five or sixI had a couple bantam cochins, but it's been several years and I can't remember for sure.

They can sit on 4-5 90-125 gram pea eggs.@Pyxis serious question for a moment. How many regular chicken sized eggs can a broody cochin bantam sit on?

I never knew they responded, when calledOkay, so when installed backwards, the bunny will keep coming and coming.

Thanks. Speckle my cochin bantam that has the bad leg has gone hardcore broody so rather than putting her in the cage like I normally do to break them I thought I'd just stick a couple of eggs under her. Sh is now on 2 cuckoo Maran eggs and three araucana eggs. They can sit on 4-5 90-125 gram pea eggs.
My best broodies have been bantam cochins and I always put 4-5 pea eggs under them. Legg's peafowl uses them too, and I think they do 4-5 eggs too.Thanks. So I'll be OK with these 5 then hopefully. She is making the most peculiar noises. Sort of like a mix of really happy and keep the hell away from me! She's such a sweetheart! My best broodies have been bantam cochins and I always put 4-5 pea eggs under them. Legg's peafowl uses them too, and I think they do 4-5 eggs too.
