šŸ”„ā˜£ļøšŸ’The Sin BinšŸ’ā˜£ļøšŸ”„

I feel like I’ve been away for a month of Sundays, just as I was beginning to feel at home in the Sin Bin. :hugs

I have been helping my DIL by sitting with my oldest DS after he was admitted to the hospital with double pneumonia. It took three trips to the ER before they admitted him. :mad:

PSA: If anyone reading this vapes, or knows someone who does, please STOP now. I cannot stress that enough! That stuff, targeted to help some quit smoking and marketed to younger kids to start smoking, will kill you. This is no lie! I watched as my tougher than nails DS came closer to death than he ever did riding bulls. No joke. Luckily he was not put in ICU and did not have to be intubated, but he missed that by only a hair.

And to add insult to injury, during our 3rd trip to the ER, all of his electrical tools were stolen out of his tool box (approximately $2000 worth. :duc Merry Christmas to someone! I hope they don’t know what the he!! they’re doing and get the piss shocked out of them.) He was so sick that he didn’t even think about the tool box not being locked.

But let’s look at the silver lining here, over the course of this he has learned two valuable lessons: don’t vape and always keep your toolbox locked! :old And I hope someone gets shocked and learns they shouldn’t have stolen! :tongue

Good day and it’s good to be back!

Or maybe he could slip and amputate some body parts. Glad that your son is doing better.

Thank you. I hope my DS has learned his lesson.

Nicotine addiction is a bear to beat, but it can be done. I quit chewing tobacco probably 15 years ago. I've told the Princess that if I get a terminal diagnosis, I will not start drinking again, but I will come home from the Dr's office with a bag of Levi Garret in one pock and a bag of Red Man green in the other.

Yep, I hear you on that one! My youngest son still smokes (started while in the AF) and my oldest I guess will continue to dip that stinking Copenhagen Wintergreen, even after both of them pleaded with my mother to stop smoking when they were little. She did stop, but then began putting little amounts of Red Man in her cheek. :gig

I grew up in a household where just about everyone smoked either cigarettes, cigars or pipes. The latter two I loved the smell of. I only tried smoking once. Ha! Thought it would help me lose weight. I didn’t know what fat was back then. Bought a pack of Virginia Slim Menthol (thought they would for sure do the job) when I left my part time summer job at Eckerd’s Drug Store in between my Junior and Senior years of high school. I lit that baby up and took a couple of long draws. It didn’t take me long before I started feeling very warm and dizzy. Long story short, luckily I still had the smock on that I had to wear at work because I was too ignorant to pull over and upchucked all in my lap. Dumbest thing I ever did. I’ve done other dumb stuff, but for me, smoking that Virginia Slim Menthol was the dumbest by far. I still remember that like it was yesterday and it was 42 years ago. :eek:

:highfive::yesss: for quitting!
