@Pork Pie and @CCUK, I'm gonna make this tonight!

Thanks for the video @perchie.girl!
His narration is Awsome! One thing he didn't say is DON'T open the oven to check on them before they're cooked, they will sink. I can't cook them, there is an art to it  my stepdad can cook them perfect everytime. He uses a premix powder. They're really nice with mincemeat and carrots with mash potato. :drool

I loved listening to this guy. The intonation he used made this addicting to listen to. Weird, huh? Anyway, I think I’m gonna try these myself. But I don’t know that I’ll be able to place these before my DH and say, ā€œHey, hon, I want you to try this Yorkshire Pudding.ā€ He’d look at me half cocked and say, ā€œWhat, these biscuits?ā€ Because everyone knows that biscuits are good with any meal in the South.:gig

I’m pretty sure I thought Yorkshire Pudding was similar to Figgy Pudding.
My kids love them plain with strawberry jam, hot or cold! Not quite a biscuit but more like a pudding!

Well then, he did leave out a very important aspect of the recipe and I would have done just that, and ā€œPoofā€ my pudding would have been gone. :barnie

Now this does sound very good.

Not quite a biscuit but more like a pudding!
:lau Spoken like someone across the ā€œPudding pond.ā€

Now, I’m going to assume the entire recipe will be on his website. I seriously am going to put a roast in the crock pot. I can’t wait. Lord knows I’ve got the 4 large eggs. ;)

Just gravy, with mustard - as a starter is the only way we eat them, though them frozen big ā€˜uns are great with a stew :drool

I do believe I will try this. It would make a stunning and delicious addition to our Christmas brunch. Now I’ve got to trot off to pick up some pork trotters! :gig Thanks, @Pork Pie.
I wish you luck. It’s safe to say that most peeps in the UK buy pork pies, rather than cook from them scratch. That’s no reason not to give it a go :thumbsup

If these are sold in the US I’ve never seen them, but also I’ve never looked. They are so beautiful and I know they’d be very savory. Mine is a family that enjoys food and I think they’d appreciate something new and interesting.

Some pickles / chutney are a good accompaniment- they help cut through the richness. My mouth is watering as I write this :lau
