Do you have any triple antibiotic ointment? I think that would be better than coconut oil.

Might want to trim any feathers around the wounds.

I had this issue a few years ago, I found a baby chick in that same condition, brought him inside, nursed him, he came through. t he's still in our flock, but the best thing you can do besides preventing infection is to keep him warm so his body can focus on healing and make sure that he has access to good food he should be ok.
