'09 garden kinda late

We have a frost warning for tonight, so I'm glad I've planted barely anything outside so far....

I had a bird attack on my beans and tomato plants

so I have some replanting to do.

I am only a quarter planted and that is just peas and lettuce and a few other things. I still have another 200 feet to plant. Its all good cause I am in NH and actually right on time. They say to wait for most stuff till memorial day. Good luck fellow farmers!! May your gardens be the best ever this year!

Well this year is definately better than last year. Last year we had to start all of our seeds three times for one planting because of the weather. This year I have had a late start so we will only be planting what we can. The rain has been stupid this spring. Tilled one of the gardens in February only because of a freak warm spell. Haven't been able to do anything with them since the ground is still very soupy.

Late?! Ha ha, here we can't plant anything safely until after Memorial Day

We are planting our book club community garden today. I planted a bunch of stuff in my home garden last week.

I did plant an early crop of lettuce and other cold hardy stuff. That is almost ready, but I am basically WAY early this year. Last year we didn't get anything planted until the first of June

The only thing that this effected was the kohlrabi. It only developed a few bulbs.​

We have a few things in that don't mind the cold, but we have a freeze warning till 8am on Monday! I hate Ohio weather! Last year we we late, after Memorial Day and we still had a frost, we had to go cover up all our plants the night after we planted everything!
It is going down into the lower 30's tonight, I sick of the cold! Were is the warn weather!
It is supposed to hit 83, Thurs. I like it warm, not sweltering!

We can't plant anything yet. I could see my own breathe this morning. It was in the low 30's last night, and tonight is also a frost advisory. I've got squash plants ready to go in, but gotta wait

In Ga. the sweet corn is already ripe & some gone but I just planted mine might get to hot & die, okra will make it the hotter the better for that.
