1 day old chick leg issue

Trying to upload a video. Hope it works. Basically, 2 day old chick will not put down its foot. Checked for tendon and nothing is popping in or out. Splayed leg or something else? super confused on what to do. Any and all advise welcome. I want to do what is rigth for this beauty.

I am going with a splayed leg. Please fix it ASAP. I adopted a hen at 15-weeks, that had an untreated splayed leg and it was too late to fix. You have time. Use a straw and cut it to the length of the legs then run a rubber band through the straw and hook it on the leg it will work itself out after that

I has been this way since hatch. she will not put it down. i will read article.

It has been 6 days since you first posted. Is she able to get around to get food and water? Is she growing? I don’t know from the video if that is a dislocated hip or a slipped tendon, but I’m not sure that she will survive like that. Unfortunately that is why some chicks die or are put done.

She is getting around and eating way better since i changed the feeder and water and mved heat plate thing. She is not growing as fast as the other two. But i think she will catch up with the change to brooder. i think im going to try the straw.
