Hi y'all! This is my 2nd attempt at incubating and raising baby chicks, with this one being much more better than the last! I had 22 out of 25 eggs hatch this time, with only 1 casualty. Everybody seems to be doing fine, eating, pooping, sleeping, etc, but I noticed this lil guy not walking to well.
My best guess is he strained his leg somehow or it was a birth defect I haven't noticed until it got worse? Everybody is about 1-2 days old, all in the brooder and fluffy. I wouldn't take it as a disease or infection because he's not showing any other symptoms except a elongated leg. He does seem to be in pain as he makes a distress call everytime he tries to walk.

If there's anything I can do to help him out I would like to! As I'm typing this message I'm researching the possible solutions, anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks again for all the help :love

Have you already checked to see if the tendon has slipped out of place in that leg? If not, I'd do it ASAP and begin treating (trying to get the tendon to go back into place), as time is of the essence with perosis. Best wishes for your little one's recovery!
